In Hero's Rest, the Steward Elios tells you about the many uses of Ripe Purian fruit, like how it can be eaten and can be placed as an offering before bells to grant blessings. You help gather and read some "interesting" books about the Kyrian way of life. You help slay the Forsworn Ascended who can no longer be saved. You stop a broken Altered Sentinel that the Steward Forgehand Simo has been unable to fix, you put down Darkwing, a Cloudfeather matriarch who has grown aggressive due to the anima drought, and you put down Gorgebeak, an anima-greedy crane that's become a menace. Klystere is asking Acolyte Amalthina to be her Soulbind, and Acolyte Amalthina is accepting. The wreath is symbolic, given only to someone you cherish. For her reply, Acolyte Amalthina has you fetch her a flower that she and Klystere planted together, and then she explains. Klystere asks for your help to send a special gift, a wreath of Larion plumes. Surprisingly, though the Forsworn discover who you are, they allow you and Haetio to leave with the Spear of Kalliope, accepting that Artificer Ligiea was unworthy, but insisting that their cause is still ultimately righteous. Finally, the Forsworn Artificer Ligiea is deemed by a Servant of Kalliope to be unworthy to possess this powerful artifact, and you are chosen to be given it instead. You disguise yourself as a Forsworn Quartermaster and infiltrate their ranks, determined to get to the Spear of Kalliope before they do. The scholar Haetio tells you how Forsworn have invaded his shrine, and are searching for a powerful artifact known as The Spear of Kalliope. With your help, he tethers himself to several Glimmerflies on Strings, which allow him to float around to his heart's content. At first, he tries to build wings - but when that doesn't work, he realizes he can borrow wings instead. As he seems to be a bird, he feels that he should be able to fly, but he has arms instead of wings. You meet the Steward Kowalskos, and help him learn how to fly. In the end, you're chosen to make a choice between the two - which one do you prefer? The living Larion are emotional and require you earn their trust, but once you have that, they will allow you to fly on their backs. You find that the mechanical Phalynx are disciplined and precise, and will obey commands perfectly. You spend time with each, learning what makes them special. Pelodis the Phalynx Master and Nemea the Larion Master have a friendly rivalry, as each believes their chosen creature to be better. You help recover a powerful artifact, Korinna's Allaying Crook, which Zosime can use to restore peace. The anima drought has badly affected many of Bastion's creatures, starving, they've become aggressive, and the garden is in chaos. You help Zosime with her garden, and with entertaining her Larion, Kala. This allows you to witness visions of the history of a Kyrian hero, Agthia, who sacrificed herself to save Bastion in a battle against the Void. You walk through an ancient Bastion battleground, meditating on various scrolls of remembrance.
